Soda Steel® Ingredients: All Nine, Explained
Nine named ingredients and the facts the label leaves out.
Quick answer
Soda Steel names nine ingredients: vitamin B3, vitamin B6, zinc, L-carnitine, L-citrulline, grape seed extract and a blend of Panax ginseng, maca root and Rhodiola extracts. The materials we reviewed do not publish the amount of any of them, and several can matter with common medicines.
1. Vitamin B3 (niacin)
Helps the body use energy from food. High supplemental doses can cause flushing. See the NIH niacin fact sheet and our B3 notes.
2. Vitamin B6
Involved in many routine metabolic functions. Very high long-term intake can cause problems, so count every source. The NIH vitamin B6 fact sheet lists limits.
3. Zinc
An essential mineral. Too much over time causes problems, so count zinc from every product. See the NIH zinc fact sheet.
4. L-Carnitine
Involved in moving fats into cells for energy. Carnitine and citrulline compared.
5. L-Citrulline
An amino acid the body converts to arginine. Ask first if you use blood pressure medicine or nitrates.
6. Grape Seed Extract
A polyphenol-rich extract that may matter for people on blood thinners. See the NCCIH grape seed extract page.
7. Panax Ginseng, Maca Root and Rhodiola (proprietary blend)
Three adaptogenic plants listed together. Ginseng may matter with blood thinners and diabetes medicine, and Rhodiola with antidepressants. See the NCCIH Asian ginseng page and NCCIH Rhodiola page.
